# Scubrain

Scubrain is an app for divers: very short videos, photos and quizzes, and a review that comes back to what you forget. So you reach the water’s edge with the right reflexes.

Status: not released yet. No launch date has been announced. A newsletter sign-up (double opt-in) on the website announces the launch and the beta.

## What the app does

- **The feed**: A feed that teaches you diving. Videos, photos, carousels and quizzes, full screen, just like your social apps. Each post takes less than a minute: on a break, on the train, the night before a dive.
- **The review**: The app comes back to what you forget. Every answer counts. Scubrain spots your gaps and asks the right questions again at the right time, until it sticks. Safety figures always follow your training agency.
- **Exploration**: Recognise what you meet underwater. Species cards, sea by sea: the grouper, the spotted eagle ray, the lionfish… So you know what you saw, how it lives and what is best left untouched.

## Where the project stands

- Project start (Summer 2026, done): A team of diving instructors gets together to solve a problem: how can divers easily review what they need to know to dive safely?
- Name and identity (Autumn 2026, done): An app, a website, an Instagram page. The project is launched.
- The first content (Winter 2026, in progress): 250 species cards are ready, and the first theory posts are written.
- The app (Winter 2026, in progress): The feed, the quizzes and the review already run on a phone, as a test version.
- Accounts (Winter 2026–2027, upcoming): Your account and your progress, safely saved.
- The beta (Early 2027, upcoming): About twenty divers test the app before everyone else. You can be one of them.
- The launch (Date to come, upcoming): On the App Store and Google Play. The date will be announced here and by e-mail.

### What is Scubrain?

Scubrain is a micro-learning app for scuba divers, on iPhone and Android. Videos, photos, carousels and quizzes that take less than a minute, to review dive theory, and species cards to identify the fish and creatures you meet underwater.

### Who is the app for?

Divers in training who want to review their theory, and certified divers who want to keep their knowledge fresh between dives or trips.

### When will the app be released?

Scubrain is in the making. A beta with about twenty divers will come before the launch on the App Store and Google Play. The date is not set yet: sign up to the newsletter to hear it first.

### How much will Scubrain cost?

Prices are not set yet. They will be announced before the launch, here and by e-mail.

### Does the content follow my training agency?

The content is written and checked by diving instructors. Every safety figure (depths, ascent rates, stops…) names the agency it comes from, so you can compare it with what you learned.

### Does Scubrain replace a diving course?

No. Scubrain helps you review and remember, but it does not replace training with an instructor, your certification, or the briefing of your club or dive guide. Never dive beyond your certification.

### How can I test the app before release?

Sign up to the newsletter and tick “I want to test the app before release”. We will write to you when the beta opens.

### What do you do with my e-mail address?

It is only used to send you news about Scubrain. It is managed by Brevo, a European service, and is never sold or shared. You can unsubscribe in one click, at any time.
